Exciting things are happening at this year’s Helping Hands Day, an event of spirited service in the community! This year’s theme is Ignite – hearkening back to the story of Pentecost and the Holy Spirit’s coming among us in power and in fire. We’ll focus heavily on the significance of light in Scripture, lifting up Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous quote, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
